95 Things I Love, By Category
July 2026: A Pinterest collage I made of some of my favorite things.
I am definitely not perfect. I have flaws, and have definitely made a few questionable decisions in my life.
But one thing I do stand by is this: I have fantastic taste.
So, in the spirit of generosity (and a bit of self-indulgence), I’m sharing a list of 95 things I love (non-exhaustive), by category, with little to no explanation.
P.S. I have tried to not include things that are painfully obvious: my family, Christmas, holding babies, the color pink, you get it.
Categories: 1) Media 2) European travel 3) England destinations 4) YouTubers, Podcasters, Influencers, etc., 5) Apps 6) Fashion 7) Homes, 8) Beauty & Glam, 9) Accommodation 10) Little Luxuries, Guilty Pleasures & Misc. 11) Philosophies
Media
Lonely Planet - still the best of the best.
New York Times, Washington Post - duh.
Chris Wallace - fantastic travel writer. See his Cape to Cairo piece for Esquire.
Parts Unknown - TV show by the late, great Anthony Bourdain (his book Kitchen Confidential is also quite good).
60 Minutes - I wasn’t raised in a barn.
European Travel
Ljubljana, Slovenia, and Lake Bled - the hidden gem of Europe, a real-life fairytale.
Wrocław, Poland - Europe’s most underrated city break
Split, Croatia - oozes seduction like the month of August. Swimming in the sea here was incredible (but my favorite beach is still on Mallorca).
Trujillo, Spain - village near the Portuguese border, about 2 hours from Madrid. I stayed there for 3 nights in a motel (and yes, I do think of that Dominic Fike song).
Vienna - the Church of the Jesuits is a must, had a very sexy feel (not the church—I meant the city lol).
Prague for the Christmas Market - magical, (I took a train ride in perfect snow across Czechia to Bratislava, one of my favorite travel memories ever).
Carcassonne - quaint European dream, best coupled with Montpellier.
Paris - you either love it or hate it. I love it. Must see: the Medici fountain at Le Jardin du Luxembourg.
Amsterdam - I’ve been a number of times, one on purpose, two on accident, and never get sick of it.
England Destinations
York - one of my favourite places in the world. Must go to The Rectory behind the Minster for a glass of wine.
Peak District - I’ve always said if I were to live in England, I’d want to live in Derbyshire.
The Lake District - stay in a village called Nether Staveley. Went with the girls and had a lovely time, no tourists here.
Somerset - specifically, you need to see Batcombe, a better version of the Cotswolds without any tourists.
Bath - best enjoyed without an itinerary, just wander around. Must see: Prior Park.
Hever Castle, Kent - to get there from the train station, the footpaths take you through all of these farmer’s fields, but I think it adds to the charm.
Goodge Street and Soho in London (get a drink at The Queen Charlotte pub - love it!)
Highclere Castle - cool because the family still lives there and has their photos all over the house.
Durham - specifically the viewpoint of the cathedral from Potters Bank.
YouTubers, Podcasters, Influencers, etc.
Drew Binsky - Casey Neistat if he was a travel vlogger. Has been to every single country but is still super down-to-earth and real.
Agatha House - my dream house.
Lyss - I’ve listened to all of her episodes.
Workouts by Christina - Dutch baddie inspiring me to get to the gym.
Laetitia Casta - one of my favourite models from the ’90s, so naturally beautiful - reminds me of Kate Winslet in the Titanic.
Paulina Porizkova - Czech supermodel, now very pro natural-aging.
Apps
Pinterest - been a Pinterest girl since I was 9 or 10. Will die a Pinterest girl.
Stardust - tracks your cycle and lets you add moods and symptoms in a cute way.
Raindrop. IO - let’s you save all of your TikToks, Reels, etc. in one place by folder - great for travel planning. You can also leave notes on your saves like “restaurant to go to in Rome” etc. - brilliant app.
Been Everywhere - best travel tracking app, see my profile here.
Trodden - this is another travel app, similar to Been but let’s you rate the places you’ve visited.
ChatGPT - let’s keep it real - I love chat.
Edward Jones - cool girls have financial advisors. I have two.
TikTok - I love TikTok, haha! No, but seriously, I think it is a great source for inspiration.
Fashion
Stilettos - no comment needed.
Black sunglasses - never fully dressed without them, even on the tube.
A-line skirts - work really well for my fellow hourglass girls.
Stacks of bangles - timeless, elevates the vibe.
Flowy blouses - gives classy.
Long jorts - I’m getting too old to heft my big fat ass into Daisy Dukes.
M&S jeans - I swear by them.
Handbags - you can never have too many. The slouchier the better.
Balconette bras - so classy, I love them.
Wide-leg jeans with a boxy tee and flip-flops.
Massive diamond ring with a Birkin in hand (can’t say I’ve ever experienced this but putting it out into the universe…haha!)
P.S. Can we talk about Halle Kate’s wedding hat? I loved it!
Homes
Mahogany interiors - I love them, and for you tasteless bitches who paint beautiful woodwork white, just know there is a special place in hell for you.
French bistro sets for the patio.
Lamps - absolutely try and avoid overhead lighting unless it’s a chandelier.
Huge fireplaces with fur blankets - cozy core.
Taut throw pillows - I want that karate chop to leave a crisp indent.
Checkered marble floors - will never go out of style, especially for an entryway or a dramatic staircase.
Bar carts with high-quality silver and glassware, and no bar carts from Amazon, please.
Silver picture frames with black-and-white photos - again, will never go out of style.
Artwork, artwork, artwork - I dream of having art and décor from my travels all over my house. And I do believe the art in your home sets the tone for your life.
Big dogs - I don’t really like small dogs, too yappy and soulless. Give me Chow Chows, Newfoundlands, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds.
Men - first, dog. Second, man. A beautiful man can be décor for the home, right?
Bathtubs - I will need at least one clawfoot tub in my forever home. I am a bubble bath and champagne kind of girl.
Tudor exteriors - just amazing, really no commentary needed.
Balconies - I will not be able to die happy until I live in a flat with a balcony.
Vintage hat boxes for storage - so chic for keeping old photos, cards, and random memorabilia.
American houses with massive wraparound porches. I am from the Midwest after all!
Beauty & Glam
Hair rollers - it’s the only way forward for me.
Berry lipstick - red is too much, pink is too little.
Coconut oil is the best, cheapest, and most carry-on-friendly makeup remover.
White toenails - yes, it’s low-key chavvy, I know.
Hot pink acrylic nails - live a little, girls.
Really curly hair - the bigger the hair, the closer to God.
P.S. I can always tell how much I like a guy by how long I take to get ready for the date…
Accommodation
Brody House, Budapest - divine. Best hotel I’ve stayed at.
Four Seasons Peninsula Papagayo - and yes, I did get paid to critique the food.
This AirBnB in Somerset - best-kept secret in England. Chris and Camilla were fab hosts.
Oliver’s Travels - villa supplier I know well ;)
Ostello Bello Milano Centrale - best hostel I’ve stayed at.
Little Luxuries, Guilty Pleasures & Misc.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills - I am obsessed with Kyle Richards.
My robe - if I’m at home, I’m in my robe.
Diplomatic Baggage by Brigid Keenan - absolutely fab book.
Flowers - Hot pink carnations, red roses, baby pink peonies are some of my favorites. Having a signature color scheme does make your life easier fyi.
A cup of coffee served on a saucer - it does taste better.
Fresh sheets and a cold room.
New York style pizza - best enjoyed at 2 AM.
A pretty cocktail - again, obviously, best paired with gossip.
Fried food - I’m American, I can’t help it. Give me a large bag of Sonic cheese curds with a big fat Diet Coke.
Long-stemmed glasses - the thinner, the better.
Anything black and white striped - slightly French, very glamorous. Anything sparkly, too.
Sex & The City reruns.
My birthday! People who don’t like their birthdays don’t know how to have fun in my book. I also think an autumn birthday is elite.
Sangria - I always make myself one when I clean my bathroom.
Chocolate chip cookies - To get the perfect cookie, add chocolate chunks on the tops 5 minutes before they come out of the oven. You’re welcome.
Restaurant bottle in the fridge for ice-cold water - practical and chic.
